Prayer Requests: Monday of 2 Lent and Commemoration of Emily Morgan

Almighty God, you have surrounded us with a great cloud of witnesses: Grant that we, encouraged by the good example of your servant Emily Morgan, may persevere in running the race that is set before us, until at last we may with her attain to your eternal joy; through Jesus Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

An update from Sharon:

Tomorrow I was supposed to have another stent put in. They have postponed it and sent me to a surgeon specializing in this particular area for some machinery broke down and the procedure could cause a stroke or death if plaque dislodged for it would go straight to the brain. The surgeon wants to do a blood flow test on Tuesday before determining if problem is significant enough to do it.

I  got the fun of witnessing to the surgeon when he was puzzled  that serious conditions found when my last stent was put in in October no longer existed. I said that’s because a lot of people are praying for me. He replied, “tell them to pray for me”.

Mac, like many men mask /express fear with the appearance of anger. He was upset when they put off the procedure in November, then exploded at the poor office girl when they postponed it again on the 14th, then when the doctor himself called to say the equipment broke so they were sending me to a surgeon Mac let the doc have it. So, when Shirley and I explained what the surgeon said, I wasn’t surprised that he got mad .  Then I pointed out the possibility of a stroke and how it could have been God protecting me with each delay, and the equipment breakdown. It was beautiful to watch that angry  face soften, as he saw It was God’s love, not the foolishness of man. A look  of wonder came over his face. Isn’t God special to use this in so many ways?

Looking unto Jesus, the author and perfected of my faith.
Hugs
Sharon

A request from Martha:

The steroids were good/ but I also have bronchitis- wheezing cough.

So I have not had antibiotics since around Feb. 10 – so
I now have them/ she thinks this will help.
She said I was blessed/ not getting the Type A flu-  which pneumonia
comes with that – whole different story. She said the B is not as associated
with severe/ hospitalization./ pneumonia   So pray we all stay away from flu A.
So she said keep on taking/ breathing treatments and go down to 10 mg
of steroid a day- not 40 or 60 or 80 – that is completed/ now. She had
added an antibiotic which she said will help with secondary infection, bronchitis.
The E.R. did not prescribed one. She said last time I had antibiotic it helped/toward
first of Feb. But most likely needed another round. She was not in her office some of
the things I had to see other Dr (s).
And rest/ and try to control stress/ which triggers asthma attacks.
And take cough :”perle” tablet which will help calm the cough’ and it is
not a narcotic/ and if needed tylenol – for aches etc.
and Stay on oxygen 5 more days at least.
And I am better – I have been without oxygen/ more lately
but she said that puts a strain on the heart/ without good oxygen level.
So 3 visits to Dr. (just one to my main Dr. she was on it.)
one visit to the PA/ and then today’s visit with her/ regular Dr.
after I became sick, and then two trips to E.R. oh dear.
Tired.. of this.   praying for each of you !1 Blessings/ and breakthrough of the Lord  to you and good health
and also provision/ and situations the Lord has under His control//// Psalm 138:8   –
Hope all is going OK there.  Thank you for your continued prayers. With a low immunity and a senior age,
and cancer patient and also history of pneumonia and other ailments; she said stay away from public places.
She said I had a rough time, but all in all, no hospitalization and no congestive heart failure and no pneumonia
was a good thing.
 Love and prayers
 ((soft hugs of His Grace))
