Beware of Phishing Scams

Phishing scams cause a lot of people to have information compromised. These usually come in the form of scam email that requires you to click on a link, then enter your username and password. Usually, it comes with a warning that your email account will be deleted if you don’t take this action. Another variation asks for your online banking information.

Your email provider will NEVER ask you for a password, or threaten cancellation of an active account. Should you receive something like this, don’t fall for it! A scammer that obtains your information can use your email or worse, bank account, for all kinds of nefarious purposes.

Please let others know about the dangers of phishing scams when you can.
